Presented by George Williams & Koji Kurumatani LOSERFEＳ ’10
Marketing Japan: Announcing LOSERFES ’10 – Japan’s First Free Online Concert/Festival Sept. 12, 2010!..
Proudly announcing the first of the Loser Festival (appropriately called, “Loserfes”) series is George Williams. LOSERFES ’10 will be the very first digital festival in Japan and you are invited! Admission is absolutely free!
What is LOSERFES ’10? LOSERFES ’10 will be Japan’s very first completely free, completely online digital concert, broadcast to you live on U-Stream (accessible on georgewilliams.jp) and the rebroadcast for your pleasure on YouTube (URL to be announced)… Free! No sign ups, no surveys, no gimmicks, no catches – it’s just free!
Why LOSERFES ’10? The summer festivals in Japan have become prohibitively expensive. Who can afford $1000 (USD) for a few days of music anymore? So George and his friend, Koji Kurumatani, decided that they wanted to give something back to the people by holding a free live concert/festival for everyone in the world who has an Internet connection. LOSERFES ’10 features some of Japan’s best artists all getting together in a true festival atmosphere and enjoying a barbeque, drinks, sunshine, music and fun. The best part of all? You and your friends are invited!
Who are the artists performing in LOSERFES ’10? LOSERFES ’10 line-up for the first show is going to be a great one. Besides George Williams hosting the festival, the artists slated to appear are Koji Kurumatani as Laika Came Back, Mufas and Hoff Dylan.
Where can you see LOSERFES ’10? LOSERFES ’10 can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home or with your friends – wherever you have an Internet connection, LOSERFES ’10 can be with you! It will be the first free live concert/festival in Japan that goes wherever you go!
How much does LOSERFES ’10 cost to view? Nothing. LOSERFES ’10 is absolutely free. It is a present from George and Koji, and the guests artists back to you, the people, for all these years of great support. Thank you!
When is LOSERFES ’10? The show will be broadcast live on Sunday September 12, 2010. The show starts at 2 pm Japan time and officially ends at 3 pm Japan Time (but viewers to the live show get in on the after party for free too!) so set your calendars!
LOSERFES ’10 background info: The idea for LOSERFES ’10 came originally from George and Koji Kurumatani who decided that they wanted to extend the reach of GeorgeTV (www.georgewilliams.jp) and bring the first truly digital online show to the people for absolutely free.
When the idea was first pitched to several TV stations, they all balked as most replied “Major labels will not allow their artists to participate in such a free concert program.” This caused a problem for George and Koji; if they could not get major label artists to participate, then, what were they to do? How could they have a lineup that many would want to watch yet not have major labels acts?
Aha! The idea came! Since Indie acts are the coolest anyway – and so many of today’s top Indie artists are formerly major label acts – they decided to get former major label artists onboard! George called his friends, Koji called his and they all eagerly joined in!
Hence, the name “Loser Festival” (LOSERFES ’10) was born!
Former major label artists now gone Indie! They are all losers! So, we call the festival LOSERFES ’10!
LOSERFES ’10 “non-” performers welcome you to the LOSERFES ’10. There will be gifts for those who tune in live so make sure that you are there and tell your friends. We aim for 50,000 viewers to the live broadcast.
Please come out to support LOSERFES ’10! It’s free and it’s all for you, the people!
See you then.

Mike Rogers has his latest article on Lew Rockwell today. See the article here.
The article is about Hatsune Miku, a new “artist” who is leadinng the music revolution happening today in Japan. She is being touted as the next superstar of Rock…
But this artist is not like any other singer in the history of mankind. Read about the chilling future of music that is being planned….
I will have a new article on Lew Rockwell (LRC) Monday. It is about Hatsune Miku. Hatsune Miku something that is happening in Japan that has to do with culture and music. It’s implications are frightening.
I have the article, links, and videos all ready for your pleasure.
Seriously, be prepared for a shock. Remember the name Hatsune Miku… She is going to turn our world upside down.
People over 30 will probably misunderstand her. People over 50 will hate her. But here’s the problem!Teenagers go crazy over her – and it is not a flash in the pan! Some of her videos have more views in Japan than Lady Gaga does… Some are nearing 10 million views!
My Facebook friends and blog followers get to pre-view read the entire article here. This is one of the best pieces I have ever written. Frightening in its implications. Beautiful for today’s lonely youth.

Lew Rockwell is the spiritual leader of a massive an anti-war, anti-state, pro-business web site that is the most read Libertarian news site in the world. I am most honored to be a columnist there. Lew Rockwell (www.lewrockwell.com) is one of three sites that I read religiously everyday. You should too.
At LRC, you can get the real news and not some government sponsored propaganda.
[Image]LRC podcasts are also a must listen!
Some famous writers at LRC are Ron Paul, Lew Rockwell, Patrick Buchanan, Gary North, Fred Reed and so many other great writers that I just cannot mention them all.
Check out LRC everyday!

What is the perfect hotel room? For me, it has a king-sized bed, a huge bath separated from the toilet, two wash basins, a perfect view over-looking the city or a panoramic ocean view, and great service.
Now, in Japan, you can get all of that (excepting the ocean view) plus a free train set!
What more would your 6-year-old want?
No, seriously. This is not a joke. A hotel in Ikebukuro in Tokyo actually has all that and a H.O. sized train set in the room.
Can you imagine how thrilled your new girlfriend would be if you took her on her first vacation with you and you stayed in this room? Or imagine how excited your new bride would be if, instead of Hawaii, you stayed at this Otaku paradise!
The room also rents for, get this, about $265 dollars a night! And I was exaggerating about the king bed and huge bathroom. These amenities and bed are tiny! And $265!
Watch the Youtube video here (the music is so Japan!)
Forget the trains! Does the girl come with the room?
You might be thinking that these hotel people are nuts and I might agree with you, but, incredibly, the room if fully booked for the next month with a waiting list!

The former hot-dog eating champion, Takeru Kobayashi, was sentenced to 6 months probation for disturbing the peace at the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Championship.
Here he is getting arrested:
The article reports:
Takeru Kobayashi, the Japanese former champion of an annual U.S. Independence Day hot-dog eating contest, was sentenced to 6 months’ probation by a criminal court in New York on Thursday. Kobayashi, 32, was in court to face charges of obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, trespassing and disorderly conduct, following a scuffle with a police officer after this year’s July 4 contest in New York, in which he did not participate due to a contract dispute with the event organizer.
The big story here, that most people do not know about is the scam that is going on. It used to be that Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest was just that: a contest that was fun. But now they are attempting to turn it into big business and have made the, are you ready for it? “Major League Eating League” (MLE) – like professional boxing or pro baseball – and if you are not a contracted member of the league, you can’t join the contests.
I generally am against any sort of legislation by the government about any business, but I thought there were anti-trust laws about this sort of thing?
I reckon that Don King is a board member of MLE.
So, there you have it. These eating contests are no longer just fun and silly. They are big business and another scam to take money from folks.
Professional eaters?! Only in America.
